RISE IN MATERIALS COSTS

Dear Clients, Customers & Followers,

As you will be aware lately we are not back to normal yet in terms of the way we live, adjusting to Government guidelines with the pandemic & Brexit taking effect on the UK.

The past year has been extremely tough for us all. At CJE Developments & Property Services we are fortunate and still managing to be facing the challenges as they came until now. 

We thought we would make you aware of some regrettable changes we are having to put in place in the interest of keeping our business alive.

Since we established our business, we typically kept our quotes valid for 2 months with fixed costs, unfortunately until things return to some form of normality, we are unable to do this.

We have been given many explanations such as Covid19, Brexit and even the ship blockage within the Suez Canal. Unfortunately, we cannot be certain what the real reason is.

One of our suppliers who took time to speak with us and advised that timber is rising 30% this month, a further increase of 30% in July and forecasted 40% for August. Cement based products are also becoming exceedingly difficult to obtain at times. We are doing everything within our power to keep things as normal as we can providing the service you would expect. 

It is with deepest regret we must inform you that we are having to pass on these costs as they occur.

If you accept your quote and costs rise between times, full clarity can be provided for you ensuring you of our honesty and integrity in these matters. 

Many of our suppliers are reducing credit limits therefore we may have to ask that materials are paid for upfront on some instances.
